I want to finish part of my basement but there is mold growing in some spots. I have used bleach to remove the mold and then put a layer of a product called Kill, followed by a latex paint. This seems to work for about 6 monthes to a year. On one wall I put a layer of mortor over top of the block basement wall and there has been no mold growth in over 1 1/2 years. It is alot of work to put all that mortor on the wall, so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas that I haven't tried, or if the mold will stop growing if I put up drywall.
