O.K we know that the floor is pretty stable, and there won't be to much deflection in the floor, but if the tiles don't adhere to the wood due to sapp in the wood or if the tiles pop off due to the differences in contraction/expantion would you be disappointed. Do yourself a favor and put down a ceramic backer board.(do it once)
