Depending on what you want to do. If it's on one side of the house and you have access to a basement you can pick up the appropriate jacks at Home Depot. Fairly simple one-man operation. When installed they look like nothing more than a support column. Threaded on the top end, you can adjust the height if the house starts settling a little more. I used this on my mother's porch and it will be about 22 years now. Works great. Price is reasonable also.
