A bad wallpapering job was done, complicated by excessive moisture in a bathroom. Wallpaper removal pulled up the paper facing of the drywall in many areas, and the paint underneath along with the primer came up too. It's peeling in a "rubbery way, as opposed to hard chips. Is there any way to repair the walls for painting without totally re-drywalling? I'm considering scraping and power sanding as much as possible, then skim coat with joint compound, then seal it with KILL!, sand and then prime. Any other suggestions? Please reply via e-mail. Thanks.
