I need a method of finishing my western red cedar deck which will not alter the color of the cedar (such as a clear coating) and will protect the wood for several years. I've heard so many bad things about Thompson's, but there are so many finishes on the market it's hard to decide. If anyone knows of something which will keep the wood that beautiful color and last for a long time, I would appreciate a reply.
