My mother is involved in a project by the county public works dept. They want to take part of her back yard in order to widen a major arterial road. One of the issues involved is removal of her existing fence, hedgerow of 12ft arbavitae, and several spruce and pine trees. All of these things contributed to a pretty quiet back yard. What are her options for a fence that will provide good soundproofing. Due to swimming pool being closer to the new right of way, shrubs are no longer an option.Any info would be appreciated.
