My contact at Sherwin Williams tells me that the lacquer will not lift the poly, but there is another problem which makes it a no-no. The poly finish is a relatively soft finish and the lacquer is a hard finish. Over time the "soft" poly will move about and cause the lacquer to crack or craze. Bottom line, it is not recommended.
