re:cathedral ceiling insulation

thanks jay, this is an old home, the ceiling is 3/4 tongue and groove planks with no insulation at all and no vents, the roof is tin over old shingles, I hate to think about what it will be like in here this summer. about that venting and moisture buildup, sounds like if it isn't done right I'm in for problems. thanks again..DM
