we had this same problem in an old farm house. to start out, we took a thin kerf circular saw blade and ran it from one end of the swollen board to the other, this allowed the boards to reseat and then we glued them down. This worked for a few months, but in the long run, we replaced the floor (about 3.00/sq ft around here for oak, but you might consider a engineered floor which doesnt require you to sand etc....
