one. could have applied shims in the area where the boards are bouncing.

two. could have screwed in support boards to stop the bounce.

three. could have sprayed wd40 on the area since the squeak is probably the board bouncing up and down on the nail.

four. could have sistered another joists alongside the one bouncing.

This could go on and on.

How long was he/she down there on this job?
