Keith, I hate to keep sounding like an advertisement for the big home centers but www.lowes.com has a "how-to" section and it includes all aspects of tile laying. I'm sure other large home centers also have web sites and how to sections. Most large home centers have classes on the weekend too. However, the law says that the class you want has to have been given last weekend. The classes are usually free. If you're just going to "dig in" then you might as well be as prepared as you can be.
