What are peoples' experiences with laminate "floating floor" products? I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive alternative to hardwood and I've seen stuff ranging from IKEA's $2.95/sq.ft stuff to other material that is even *more* expensive than hardwood. Is this stuff really as durable/attractive over time as manufacturers seem to think it is? How about ease of installation for an eager newbie? All raves and horror stories welcome!
