Yes you can do that. Most better laminate flooring manufacturers offer moldings. There is a stair nose molding made to match most laminate flooring. If the brand that you are installing does NOT offer stair nose, there is a metal generic stair nose available. The color won't be a perfect match but close to matching should be available.
