Poly-Pebble Driveway - Florida sun

My father-in-law has a poly pebble driveway at his home in Florida - this is the same type of surface that you ight find around a pool-but it is used in a driveway setting. Wherever the surface is shaded from the sun it looks pretty good - but wherever it is in contact with direct sun (and possibly rain) it looks rough. I was looking around to see if there is a clear sealer type material that a home owner can apply at a reasonable price- that can seal and protect a poly pebble surface driveway - any ideas? My fater-in-law had thought of ripping up the surface, but that would be an expensive waste in my opinion. Thanks!
