LIFTMASTER GARAGE DOOR OPENER

I recently purchased a house that has a Liftmaster Gargarge door opener. The previous owners left us one Liftmaster remote and two Sears/Craftsman remotes. The two Sears remotes do not work. Can I reprogram these to work with my Garage door opener or do I have to buy original Liftmaster remotes?
