I would like to know if anyone could advise me of the difference between the use of Fibreglass shingles vs. a Laminate Ashphalt (Architectual) Shingle. We live in Southern Ontario and are exposed to Brutal winters with lots of Snow and Wind. Our roof is a 12- 12 Pitch. I found a shingle from IKO (Cambridge) but is made of Fibreglass and is LESS expensive than the Ashphalt Comparrison in IKO (Chateau) Can anyone help explain the difference and why I should avoid FIBREGLASS in our application.
