simple permanenet answer. look up topical hardwoods on the net. you can get spanish cedar or ipe or brazilian teak for about 2-bucks a board foot FAS and get it milled. its indestructible. even finished stock is about 4 bucks a foot. sounds like a lot but you do not have to do it over
