I am installing a second bathroom in my 75 year old home. I have purchased a cast iron bath tub to be installed on the polyurthaned oak floors that are original to the home. The construction is sound.
Now I am begining to think that maybe this might not be a good idea. Can the construction withstand a cast iron tub full of water, and a person in it... all resting on the 4 points of the claw feet? What sort of reinforcement might I need to consider?
