the cedar is inside the house .. rails on the stairs and beams on the celing .. also fireplace mantel.. it is rough sawn so the stain has soaked deep into the wood.. we also have cedar beams on the outside of the house that have been painted .. i have heard that on these you can power wash to remove the paint .. but the wood on the inside of the home has me baffled
