pb, I hear what your saying, but how would the water get from the leaking flange to the floor without first having to jump the gap between the flange and the floor? I suppose in some installations where the flange is actually installed on the surface of the floor what you say could be true. Anyway, I guess what you suggest couldn't hurt, so why not? Thanks for the insight. Dodgeman Dave, By the way, if you are raising the floor, be sure to use a thick enough wax ring to make a good seal.
