This is something else that your qualified Home Inspector should be able to tell you, and you should ask specifically about it. If wiring is not visible in the joists of the basement, crawl space or attic, then I guess that he will have to remove some of the outlet boxes and examine the visible ends of the wiring. Also an inspection of the wiring around the fuse/circuit breaker panel should give an indication of the general state of house wiring.
