I will be replacing an old deck for a guy who will also be having vinyl siding put on over the old hardboard lap. I want to put on the new ledger board before the siding crew is finished so they can flash it all in.
What's a good way to fur that out so it will work with the new siding? Should I double up the ledger board? I'll be lagging it into the rim joist.
