My workshop was flooded (as well as both trucks) several weeks ago and everything soaked in five feet of mud and water. Becasue of the damage to the rest of the house, I am just getting to the tools. My table saw is sitting there in the middle of the shop with its cast iron top completely rusted. I want to tackle that job first, so I'm asking for suggestions. Should I sand it down with emery cloth? Use naval jelly? Wire brush? All of the above? Then, what about all the corded power tools. They run, but is there any product (WD40?) I can squirt in the motors to retard corosion? Thanks for your suggestions.
