jb, I believe that it has some kind of treatment, not necessarily CCA. Tried to get by a home center today to check this out but ran out of time. Will try to do this. The shed I built about 10 years ago did have some similar instructions and there was something about insects and rot resistant on the store sign. I know that I let it weather/acclimate for a couple of months before staining and would rather not have.
