Well just today I was watching a plumber install a outside shower on a completed new tract home here in San Diego Ca,Iam a Remodeling Contractor and could not believe what I saw,he started chipping stucco off the wall to place the new shower control and the new stucco was only about a 1/2 inch thick with a least 1 1/2 inch thick hard foam underlayment over blackpaper, but from where he started from the ground up chipping stucco it was 1/2inch and about 5' or 6' feet up it was only, maybe 1/4 inch thick(no kidding)these homes are not cheap ,prices started at mid $400,000 6 monthes ago to the mid 600,000 now, theres trains running, maybe 40 feet away from these homes all day, there located by the beach,I dont get it? is this a new stucco product or are these people buying these homes going to need a good structual defect lawyer their all sold.
