Vinyl Siding on a Mobile Home

I have a 1985 mobile home. Before common sense kicked in, the manufacturers made this home with wood siding that is now starting to buckle and rot. I want to put on vinyl siding. My question is, should I hire a professional or can this be a one person project? I also need to trim to be replaced. If this can be a one person project, where can I find detailed instructions for the "how to's"? I'm a single mom and I don't know many carpenters that want to help me out and budget is too tight to just hire the first contractor that will do it.
