Help! We are removing carpet from a lower-level room and the old runnber padding is rock hard and stuck to the linoleum floor. In some spots it was softer and came off with heavy some scraping. But most is extremely difficult to remove. We are having new carpet installed, but do not want it to be lumpy in the spots where we can not get the old padding off. Any ideas??
