I'm on the side of Jay-J, it would be a shame to kill
them, they dont do you any harm, as jay-J said, you
can build a bat house, its the same size as a bird house
but with no hole in the front, you just leave a space
of about 1"1/4" out the floor at the back, and just put
some saw cuts across the back wall. ( for them to hang on)
you can then fix it some were ( away from the house )but
not too far, or you will miss all the fun of seeing them.
There was a sad story some years back in England, the bats
love to live in little holes in walls, and under bridges
well the local workers came along and fill all the holes
thinking they had made a good job ( which they had) but
sorry to say many bats where still in the holes,and soon
areas had lots of insects and they could not understand why.
so, do kill the bats "please" John 2000.
