Thanks Errin. My hubby says his saws-all is THE best investment we have made. He uses it all the time. Yes, this place is built kinda like an old barn. Balloon foundation, all rough-hewn timbers. The floor and ceiling joists are 1" x 10". The outside walls are 1" thick variable width boards installed diagonally. You just don't see construction like this anymore! I too believe it is worth the labor to save these floors. Thanks again for the input.
