I have a wet basement. I have done allot of landscapping, and corking to aliviate allot of the problems. This week New England got hit with record rains, and water busted its way through corking. But, the real mystery I have is that when it rains heavy my sump pump will run for days until we have some dry weather. I have a shallow well in the same cement hole as the sump-pump. The pump went on me yesterday and within 15 minutes I had about three inches of water in my basement. Can anyone give me some sound advice?
