May I offer a suggestion, why not try it on a small scrap of wood? Your sprayer must be able to atomize the product into a fine spray.

I always like to apply a good sand sealer to my work before applying this. This will keep the stain and sealer more constant. You know how some areas of wood stain differently with the same application? Sand sealer helps reduce this.
