Applying semi-transparent deck stain

I am in the process of applying a semi-transparent deck stain to my deck with has a significant amount on railings, benches and staircases. Brushing by hand is taking an incredible amount of time. Is there a way to spray the product on with a sprayer that will apply a uniform application (not a bunch of drips and runs)and not have overspray go everywhere (like on the house etc.) Advice would be greatly appreciated.
