Its probably normal. Do compare your water bill to your neighbors, taking into account family size, number of showers, clothe washing, watering the lawn, etc. If your bill is a lot higher than the others, you may have a leak in the supply line. This is rare but does happen. It happened to a neighbor of mine and another poster of this board (a couple years ago).
