The owners did pay for us to have the rear and side basement walls reinforced, they were bowed a bit, but we blamed the bowing on "taped together" rain gutters, poor grading etc. Maybe the ground was sloped against the house for the past forty years.....thus the continuously draining sump crock. I am going to check to see if there are any cracks anywhere, like the other poster recommended as well.
