If scraping doesn't work then you can use super-fine steel wool and paste furniture wax. Scoop up a little wax with the steel wool and lightly rub it over the affected area. Then buff the wax with a cloth after the wax has dried. Be sure to try it on a small area to test whether it damages or changes the look of the finish.
