Take a 2x2 pine and cut it in 2 length wise on your table saw with the blade set at 45 degrees You will now have two triangular corner nailers. lag these into the corner of wall and ceiling with 3" screws and a screw gun. Use them for nailing your crown. You can put a small finish nail anywhere on the molding then nailset and fill.
