My husband and I are buying a house that has steel siding on the lower level and aluminum siding on the upper level. The steel siding is white and the aluminum siding is dark red. We would like to have the entire house be dove gray with white trim and slate gray shutters. How should we go about this? Should we paint and if so, how? Or do we have to remove this siding and start over? And can we do this ourselves?
