sheathed electrical cable pulling follow-up Posted by Andrew in NY on October 4th, 2001 01:17 PM
OK, I think I have everything figured out with the pulling of sheathed electrical cable and coax! Does anyone have hints/suggestions/tricks for pulling cable through an insulated wall? The wall separates the living area from the garage, so I have 'some' access to the wall cavity. I am thinking that I may need to cut a hole on the garage side to get the cables through any horizontally installed 2x4 between the studs. I will just drill holes through them and feed the cables through. However, I am envisioning my snake getting caught up on insulation. The house was built in 1958, so I am not sure if the insulation has any facing. If it does, that sould make it easier, but if not, will I be able to get cables down this wall? I would prefer not to remove that much drywall on the garage side, but can if I absolutely have to. Any help is greatly appreciated.
