I bought a cotton futon LAST YEAR and have NOT been able to use it. It smelled like chemicals right from the get go. The small business owner insisted there was no smell.....I tried to get my money back with consumer protection, but they said because it's a mattress, that I probably would have to take her to small claims court. I asked around other futon manufactures via Internet, and they suggested there is too much fire retardant in the cotton. Any ideas to get rid of the smell?..I've been airing it out all this time. Can't be near it.
