What you have is black mastic which is not unusual under tiles or linoleum. If you want to use BIX as above eventually it will work but you are dealing witha methylene chloride remover. Dumond Chemicals has Black mastic Remover that will do this job, Visit their web site at www.dumondchemicals.com
