We had a storm sewer backup that left the bottom of our basement drywall very damp and moldy (black) looking. We can replace the bottom of the drywall without too much trouble, but I am wondering about the wood that forms the base of the wall framing. I have applied chlorox, and am using a fan and dehumidifyers.
Is there something we can add to paint that will deter mold spores?
