What is so special about ceiling fan junction boxes? I am installing a ceiling fan in a condominium where there was no ceiling outlet. I am using the WireMold product to wire along the wall and ceiling surface. So far, I have placed the fan mounting plate to the ceiling with the bolts that have a three-legged spreader on the back of the drywall. The joists are on 16 inch centers and the drywall is 5/8" I think.
