Planning on enclosing boiler, with door, in an otherwise unfinished basement. I would like to insulate above this area. The pipes unfortunately are up against the bottom of the joists. Would it be feasible to treat each bay as it were separately. I was thinking of putting in insulation, running cleats around each bay area and attaching homosote. Overkill ?? Any other ideas would be welcome. THanks
