.. but you may have really bad luck with the way it looks or with the paint peeling off.
If you want to change the color of the tile (wall tile, anyway) you can have a professional come and reglaze it. Look for bathtub refinishers in the phone book. I'm not sure how much they charge, but I don't think it's extremely expensive, and it's probably cheaper than re-tiling.
