Humidification Posted by Harold Kestenholz - Hydronic Network on October 30th, 2001 03:53 PM In reply to humidifiers by Michelle on October 30th, 2001 03:34 PM [Go to top of thread]
Anything that makes a large quantity of water available to the space can help. Filling the bathtub and sinks with a half-inch of water at all times, placing plants that like lots of water around the rooms, trays of starter plants, fish tanks, a little recirculating water fountain with a small pond at the bottom, a pot of water on low at the electric stove, an electric rice cooker, even a square pan of water with a towel dipped in water and draped over a square fan will get moisture around. Humidifiers are little more than these devices with automatic controls to spray or boil moisture into the air. A few, cheap humidifiers purchased at the large chain store like Walmart placed around the home will ease the dryness.
