The adhesive here is probably a solvent based adhesive. Try Paint Thinner in an inconpicous place to see how easy it comes up. You might also try Lacquer Thinner which is much stronger and has a faster action that paint thinner. You shold know, however, that Lacquer Thinner is toxic and you need ventilation when your using it.
