Adding extra heat registers in finished basement ceiling

I wanted to add two heat registers in my basement
ceiling that is drywalled. Are there any products or ideas out
there, that will allow me to add them by cutting circular
holes through the drywall and into the existing ductwork,
and then easily connecting flexible or hard ductwork into
the existing flat ductwork.The ductwork is about 1-2" above
the drywall surface.Thanks.
