After I power wash a deck I go over it with a quick sanding job with a palm sander after the deck is dry . Just to get the raised grain down a little. DO NOT rinse the deck off with water to remove the dust,sweep real good. You didn't say if you power washed your deck. If you didn't,that is the problem Ron J.
