new shower anit-scald Posted by BP Smith on December 4th, 2001 03:06 PM
I have a relatively new home--built 1998--and the master shower dial needs to be adjusted so that the anti-scald part of it works. It's a Delta, one-knob deal. When I first moved in, I recall removing a piece of plastic from the knob just so I could get hot water. The knob has, since then, been able to go a full 360 degrees, turning off half-way through. I have lived with it no problem, but the new owners want it fixed. They also say the pressure is low, but I don't know what to do about that, or if me removing the plastic piece is what caused that.
