fiasco with ralph lauren satin metallic type paint

Help!! I was very excited to purchase this opulent paint. The painters I hired used a mauve tinted base coat - expecting that the paint (color, evening slipper) would take on the pinkish hue of the base.

Without reading the can, they attempted to apply the paint with a roller. The results were horrible!
Streaks and shadows are everywhere!

Any ideas on how to salvadge the situation (short of starting over)? I thought of applying crackle medium on top of the evening slipper, or sponging the mauve-colored latex base paint on top. Can I spray more of the pearlescent paint on top and use it as a top coat??Please help!!!
